Rice Museum in Myrtle Beach

The Georgetown Rice Museum is one of the popular attractions of the city, wholly dedicated to rice plantation of 1700’s. During this time, many relied on the crop as rice production developed and became one of the most important crops in the South. And just due to this, economy of south region revolved around Rice for many years.
This Rice Museum has several historical exhibits on display including - The Old Market and Kaminski Hardware Buildings, Agricultural Society, Maritime History, Rice in Georgetown County, Miss Ruby Forsythe, Joseph Hayne Rainey etc.
While here, you must take a guided tour and investigate various maps and artifacts, visit buildings dated long ago, watch videos on the history of rice and more. Apart from these, you will also get to enjoy numerous events, especially during the months of June, July, and August.
The other major attraction of the museum is its store that features many exciting and hard-to-find items.
